Europe Summer Episode Thirty

EPISODE THIRTY: Wherein I watched live porn.

Amsterdam & SEX

Sex shops glalour!!! Selling everything from condoms to dildos to viagras to feathers to balls and rods and gloves and so much more. Very very stimulating for the eyes. Heh...

Saw a sculpture graffiti outside the church. It shows a chained hand grabbing a woman's breast. So is it the guy being chained down to the temptations of the woman or the woman under the outrage of the man? I can't tell, can you? But I think it shows you the bewildering sexual relationship of the men and women in Amsterdam.

And did I mention that we stay opposite three famous gay pubs and a gay porno shop? Oh well, that means we are really quite safe. Too bad we were not allowed inside. Would really like to see two guys smooching... I will get my chance, you will see...

Hah... I took a photo with a huge penis at the Sex Musuem! We saw many many genitals too, in the form of a cake, toilet bowl, wall decor, etc. And yes, a photo of two guys smooching and erm...

Guess what photo 7 is! It is a musical box that plays the tune of Edelweiss while the wooden couple performs their sexual act. So surreal.

At the Erotic Musuem, we were welcomed by a very "high" milkmaid on a bicycle. There is a penis attached to the seat and it will move up and down, in and out.....

We saw a ancient Japanese figurine, hereby known as Mr Lonely, doing a solo act. We also saw a bamboo scripture of ancient Chinese karmasutra under an oriental backdrop of pavilions and peonies.

The metallic instrument is called Le Puisoconn, the first known vibrator with a handgrip below and a wind-up mechanism which makes the flat round metal plate at the top pulsate. WOoo..

Adult cartoons are shown in the viewing room at the Erotic Museum. Snow White became a slut, messing around with the seven dwarfs!!! * cover eyes*

It's amazing how condoms can evolve into cute mushrooms, chickens, puppies, kittens and they all look so innocent and adorable. Leather, latex, whips and chains at the SM display looks damn threatening under the red lighting. The sex chair looks funky.

Anyway, Taijie, if you are reading this, the egg fryer photo is for you.

Now how can I miss out the notorious Red Light District. I didn't have enough guts to take photo at night because I didn't want to get caught by Mr Policeman and their security cameras which is at every corner of the street. Anyway, this place is safe enough for girls to visit, even at night.

And guys, what happens if you need to take a pee? Feel free to do your business in the green shelters along the streets. That's if you feel comfortable doing it with a bunch of girls trying to take a photo of it. I scared a few guys away by taking that shot. Haha!!!

Wonder what lies behind those red light brothel windows? I took a picture of the mock-up of a typical room, which includes a single bed and a sink at the Erotic Museum. The girls run these brothel windows as sole proprietors, and are in charge of the decor, supplies and theme of their "shops". They pay the window owners a rental per night and get to keep all the profits. Some window owners provide services like security on top of the window rental.
Typically its 50 euros for 15 minutes, no kissing, take your pick from a selection of "activities", agree on the service to be rendered, anything extra must pay more, exceed time also pay more, if not security will drag you out whether or not you are ready. Rogue behaviour will not be tolerated. Police will come in to protect the girls.
Sounds complicated? Don't fret. If you are new in this business, you can always visit the Prostitute Information Centre ( PIC) to get a orientation booklet teaching you how to manage your business, your relationship with family and friends, how to juggle schoolwork and prostitution, etc... And for convenience, an erotic supermarket is just beside. Your supply of condoms come from there.
So you see, it is so liberal here. Prostitution is not seen as a underground business ( the State Police protect them) but a widely accepted one, even kids know about it. Beside the PIC is a kindergarten. Kids see prostitutes everyday and are told who they were, what they do. Prostitutes are not seen as slaves here. The girls are proud of their profession and they do not hide in shame. For many, it is just a temporary job to earn the most in the shortest time. Many young girls are students trying to earn their tuition fees. And the best part, they get to choose their customers as well. It is a two way agreement rather than a guy choose girl deal. We witnessed a few guys calling on the window girls, bargaining for a lower price. The girls will decide for herself if she wants to seal the deal.
It was really an eye opener. I never knew prostitution could turn out this way.

Anyway, I watched my first live porn at Amsterdam! We went to Casa Rosso, the world famous live sex show. It was not too dodgy and it was said that many couples and girls visit this theatre. And so we paid 30 euros and got a free drink. If we paid 45 euros, we would get three drinks. Weird? Why dun they just sell you the drinks separately from the entrance fee?
Thats because the law says you can't sell alcohol in the theatre. And so, being Dutch, they charge you more for the entrance and give you more drinks. Remember, they dun sell you the drinks. They give you complimentary because you paid more. Smart hor.
The sex show comprises of ten different sex acts, which will be repeated the whole night. Most of the acts were fairly entertaining and we both felt quite comfortable there, as there was a somewhat classy atmosphere, plus we had the Sydney couple with us.
The first act consisted of a black couple performing their well choreographed act in time to the some sensual music. Next came the SM woman who displayed strong vaginal muscles. Then came another black male with a blondie, a girl solo act, etc. Most of the 'skits' were put together well, with a geniune sense of theatricals. There was an audience participation part which was funny. Quite gruesome but the participants were game enough to make us laugh. Not a waste of money really!
